Design Help & Artwork Guidelines
Pryntwerks™™ is a DBA of Sign Design Studio
Pryntwerks gives you two ways to get your products designed:
- You provide the artwork and content, or
- We create the artwork for you using our Design Help services
Both options are supported-but they follow different rules, responsibilities, and expectations. Understanding the difference ensures a smooth process and professional results.
Option 1: Customer-Provided Artwork
When you upload your own artwork or provide your own content:
- You are responsible for:
- All spelling, grammar, and wording
- Logo accuracy and ownership
- Layout and placement
- Sizing and proportions
- Image quality and resolution
Files are produced exactly as submitted (or as approved in proof).
Pryntwerks is not responsible for:
- Typos or incorrect information
- Design choices made by the customer
- Low-resolution or improperly formatted files
- Content errors provided by the customer
If your file meets basic print requirements, it will be produced as submitted
Option 2: Pryntwerks Design Help
If you choose Design Help, our team will create your layout and/or graphics for you. This may include:
● Layout and formatting
● Typography and spacing
● Simple logo recreation or cleanup
● Creation of custom graphics, including logos when requested
● Preparing files to meet print standards
Design Help Pricing
Design Help is optional. You may always upload your own finished artwork at no cost.
If you’d like Pryntwerks to create or modify artwork for you, the following applies:
● Base Design Fee: $85 (1-hour minimum)
Includes:
○ One complete custom design
○ Up to two revision rounds
○ A digital proof for approval
○ Print-ready files for the ordered product
● Additional Revisions: $25 per round
(Each round includes up to approximately 15 minutes of design time.)
Examples of work covered by the base design fee:
● Basic layout using your content and logo
● Text-only designs
● Simple logo recreation from a photo
● One custom graphic or logo concept
● Single product design (e.g., business card, banner, shirt)
More complex projects—such as multi-item matching sets, multiple concepts, heavy illustration, or extended brand work—may require additional time and will be quoted in advance.
Any logo or graphic created by Pryntwerks is a custom graphic, not a registered trademark. Pryntwerks does not perform trademark searches or name availability checks. You are responsible for confirming that any business name, slogan, or logo you request is legally usable.
File & Artwork Standards
For best results:
- Use high-resolution images (300 DPI recommended)
- Submit vector logos when available (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF)
- Include bleed where required
- Keep text within safe margins
Low-quality files may result in blurry, pixelated, or unexpected output. Pryntwerks is not responsible for print issues caused by customer-supplied files that do not meet these standards.
Color Expectations
Colors may appear differently across:
● Phones
● Tablets
● Monitors
● Printed materials
These differences are normal and beyond our control. Printed colors may not exactly match what you see on screen.
Exact color matching is not guaranteed unless explicitly arranged in advance.
Fabric & Apparel Variations
Apparel and fabric-based products may vary slightly due to:
● Fabric weave and texture
● Garment manufacturer and dye lots
● Material color between production runs
● Print method and ink absorption
These natural variations are normal and are not considered defects.
Final Approval
Whether you upload your own file or use Design Help:
● You will receive a proof when applicable
● You must approve the final design
● Approval confirms all content and layout are correct
● Production begins only after approval
By submitting artwork or approving a proof, you acknowledge that your design is accurate,
complete, and ready for production.
Our goal is simple:
Professional results—without surprises.
